*Zaria's first week at home

Lots of cuddles for our little girl !!
HOW CAN ANYONE RESIST THIS FACE?
Or these toes.. arn't they just the cutest toes ever??

It is very hard to do anything during the day... watching Zaria sleeping/feeding/playing is sooooo time consuming.

Lil Nana having a chat

Blowing bubbles over Mums shoulder

Getting a cuddle from Nana and Poppy

Resting on Daddy's shoulder after a big feed

Hugs from Aunty Smellybell

First cuddle from Uncle Gary.

This week Zaria has been working hard at gaining weight.

She lost a bit more than most babies after coming home, so now we wake her up every 2 1/2 - 3hrs to try to get more into her.

At her last weigh in a couple of days ago she was very nearly back to birth weight. YAY!!

We also had a lactation consultant do a home visit and she thinks Zaria may be tongue tied so we are sorting out a Dr's visit and she might have to get a little snip done. This should help with her feeding.

*Zaria week 1 (in hospital)

This is Zarias first bath by the midwife in the Hospital.

She loved it and was kicking the bath tub.

Getting weighed just before we left the hospital. Zaria is 6 days old.

With one of our lovely Midwives (Susan)
Strapping her into her carseat ready to go home.
She looked sooooo tiny in there!

*Here she is !!

At 5:39 pm today our darling little girl was born.

***** on her DADDY'S BIRTHDAY...*****

She weighed a whopping 8pound 8 ounces and was 12 days late!

At first she needed a little bit of help to breathe, but after some
kanga- cuddles with mum she pinked right up and was allowed to come back to the ward with me.

Cuddles with Daddy... best Birthday present he has ever got he reckons... (although the compost bin came in a close 2nd)

*Nearly here...

Monitoring baby just before going to theatre. Dean is telling her off for hurting Mummy. This is a big contraction and if you look closely you can see her pushing hard out my left hand side, which was really uncomfortable.

Getting the spinal block put in... (didn't feel a thing...)

We are so excited and really looking forward to meeting our little girl.

During the Caesarean Dean watched the entire thing over the curtain.. he tells me he saw the Dr do the cut and then a little hand poked out..

how cute.... I am so jealous I didn't get to watch...

*The Night before...

The night before... tired and bloated, I have had enough now.
Here is me at 41 weeks and 4 days pregnant and Dean is taking me to hospital to be induced.

I was making our little girls home too cosy and she didn't want to come out.

After 5 attempts at inducing me failed (it is quite rare apparently that 5 lots of prostglandin gels don't have any effect on someone)
The Obstetrician decided it was best if baby Jolley was delivered be Caesarean Section as she wasnt dropping into my pelvis at all.
